I obtained my bachelor's degree in philosophy at the University of Padova with a dissertation on the philosophical background of Einstein's special theory of relativity. Afterwards, I obtained my master's degree from the University of Florence in Logic, History and Philosophy of Science, with a dissertation on Bohmian mechanics and moderate structural realism. During my PhD at the University of South Carolina, I worked on Feynman's early theories (the absorber theory of radiation, the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics and Feynman diagrams) and on their respective philosophical background. My research on Feynman contributed to my interests in the emergence of classical properties from quantum theories (such as the classical limit for path integrals), and in the historical reconstruction of contemporary debates in physics and philosophy of physics.
