Abstract

The programs  to produce a theory of quantum gravity by following a canonical path, starting from General Relativity do suffer, generically, from the so called “problem of  time”. On the other hand Quantum theory, in general, has  a serious conceptual deficiency known as “ the measurement problem”. We will briefly revise both and argue that a path devised to address the latter, together  with an approach to treat in particular situations involving quantum theory and gravitation, can, in fact, be quite helpful in removing the former. We will further argue that considerations involving the “Black Hole Information Paradox”, suggest an intriguing possible connection with the origin of the arrow of time.
